clear dns cache on a mac

If you need to clear your dns cache on your Mac OS x 10.5 or greater, just issue the command via terminal:

click applications > utilities > terminal

issue the command:

dscacheutil -flushcache

<press enter>

Then, ping the domain name you are trying to test to see if you get the update.

ping m3server.com

<press enter> (use your domain name in the above example that your testing)
